 Synopsis long / long synop­sis :
[fr] Trilogie vidéo ins­pi­rée du Yoïk Le yoïk est un chant trans­mis par le vent. Lors de la trans­hu­mance des rennes en Norvège, l’éleveur se retrouve seul face à lui-même et à la nature sau­vage qui l’entoure. Arpentant son chemin, le chant est le rap­port vital au réel qu’il entre­tient en har­mo­nie avec ce monde. Le suivre, c’est appren­dre les pré­cep­tes de l’audio-visuel à l’état brut. À la manière de ces éleveurs, j’ai essayé de trans­met­tre par la vidéo ces sen­sa­tions res­sen­ties face à trois pay­sa­ges fami­liers. La lumière fait que l’on voit, dis­tin­gue, reconnaît un pay­sage, son inten­sité déter­mine le chemin qu’emprun­tera notre sou­ve­nir et/ou nos sen­ti­ments pour créer une image men­tale.

[en] A video tri­logy ins­pi­red from the Yoïk tra­di­tion. The yoïk is a song « trans­mit­ted by the wind ». At the time of the rein­deers trans­hu­mance in Norway, the stock­bree­der finds him­self alone and sur­roun­ded by a wild nature. On his way to the north, the song is his vital connec­tion with the rea­lity which main­tains him in har­mony with this world he’s wal­king through. Each yoik is meant to reflect a person or place. This does not mean that it is a song about the person or place, but that the yoiker is attemp­ting to trans­fer "the essence" of that person or place into song. To listen to it is to learn the audio-visual pre­cepts in a rough state. In the way of these stock­bree­ders, I tried to trans­mit through video these fee­lings felt towards three fami­liar land­sca­pes. The light makes that we sees, dis­tin­gui­shes, reco­gni­zes a land­scape, its inten­sity will deter­mine the way our fee­lings will create a mental image.
