Concentration

GIROUX Victor

Concentration is a serie of photographs that puts the subject in an upfront position. Indeed, centring means a decentring so as to reveal things on the edge of the frame.
Beauty reveals in the quality of finding shapes that add up and repeat themselves. It is about composition balance, harmony and proportion accuracy.
It is serial work, accumulation of surfaces and captured images in the broad sense of the term. It is not about reproducing or inventing forms, but capturing forces.

This series of photographs tends to divide frequency to better analyse the different specificities of the same subject, through the accumulation of similar yet heterogeneous parts of the city. It is about the balance between nature and human nature, where beauty is not found in what man does, but in the unconscious traces of his passage. The photographer’ role is then to capture these scenes so as to make visible its entire visibility. What is found is then what calls for further research and the solution rephrases the problems.
